Okey, Dokey . . . so what is up in Diyari world?  Well, I am on Chapter 18 of the quick read through.  I am ALWAYS amazed by how much I still cut and rearrange.  I am falling more and more in love with Book 2.  I looked at Book 1 last night and felt kinda  . . . not good about it.  My writing is so much better in the 2nd book.  Or at least I think it is.  My readers will give me their opinions when I hand it out next week.  I can't get the balance right for the first chapter in Book 1.  I know the problem is me. I want people to get hooked in that first chapter and I think I have tossed everything in that chapter--minus the kitchen sink (sorry about the cliche).  I'll eventually get the balance right.

I gave out more thank you gifts to friends who helped me take that great contest picture for Maggie Steifvater's Ballad contest.  We still laugh about the story behind the picture.

I finished Hush, Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick.  So if anyone is keeping track, I have read three books in one week.  Typical fare for me and my insatiable reading appetite.  The past two nights I have been bookless.  I swung by Border's and got Peace Like A River, a suggested book by Maggie Steifvater.  I'll keep you posted.  My review for Fire, by Kristin Cashore, Prophecy of the Sisters by Michelle Zink, and Hush, Hush, by Becca Fitzpatrick are at GoodReads. If you don't know about GoodReads, you should check it out.  I have a link to it on my sidebar.

Well, I helped give out 2500 Seasonal Flu shots today (we had a flu clinic for the public), I am exhausted.

Hugs and Encouragment!!!
