I concluded the second draft for Diyari Chronicle: Hidden Darkness today.  Woot !Woot! Clap! and Sigh!  Tomorrow I will print and organize and send it to Beta Readers and Mandy.  I have decided that I will write some on Diyari 3, but to take it slow.  I want to get feedback from Beta before I conclude Azer and Nathan's story.  Book 2 was so pivotal for both of them I want to make sure I nailed it before I say good-bye. Or maybe I am trying to prolong the inevitable.  I think it is a mixture of both.

So what will I do while I wait for word from my Beta Readers and Mandy?  Oh, don't fret. My writing mojo will be exercised.  It will get a work out like never before.  I consider it a 30 day boot camp (minus the annoying task of getting up at 4 am).  I'm doing NaNo this year.  I just learned about it.  What a shame because it would have been just the thing to jump start me years ago.  But better late than never.  So I am being optimistic and saying, "Next year I will be knee deep in edits for an editor, I won't have time to write a book for fun in 30 days."  Yes, you read correctly. NaNo is writing on speed.  The goal is to write 50,000 words in 30 days.  No editing.  No toiling over the use of this word or that word.  No writing down beautiful passages and then chopping them out with the delete machete.  Nope. None of that life draining mumbo-jumbo. This is all about unadulterated writing.  Letting the words slide into your brain, down your arm, to your finger tips and onto the screen. This is not for the faint at heart. Nope.  Many enter the arena and few exit as victors.  I am going to spend the next week doing mental yoga, limbering up the mind, and wrapping it around an idea that attacked me at 3 am one morning. The doggone main character made me get up and write down the idea, character names and all.  So I think it apprapos for that story to steps into the arena with me.  WilI I reign as victor and get it onto the page? Or will the story remain in my brain forever taunting me like a school house bully? We will see come November 30.  My name at NaNo is LittleDickens.  I'll wave to you when I do my victory lap . . .

In case you didn't know this about me, I love trash talking.

Hugs and Encouragment
