My elixir for self-doubt and stress is baking. It centers me. I know I can create anything and it will come out well (most of the time). Above is my lovely pink hand mixer I received for my birthday two years ago. She has seen me through a lot of stressful nights and bouts of anxiety. I know when we create something and I take our creation to work, everyone will oohhh and aahhh. All will be right with the world.
I've been wrestling my internal voice the past 24 hours. Not sure if nerves, self-criticalness, or reality are driving this bus. But I know chocolate chip with what-the-heck-throw-in-this-coconut bar cookies will give me solace for tonight.
I do go for long walks too, but not at 7 pm when it's 40 degrees.
What do you do when you need to refocus your mind?
